I am not complaining here. Let us understand that. There are people in southern Minnesota and Wisconsin who have lost homes, cars and livelihoods due to the storm that passed through the last two to three days. Our prayers should be with them. The devastation is beyond my imagination. A whole year's worth of rain in three days!
However, yesterday, the dogs would barely leave the safety of the enivirons to do their duties. And, I needed to get to the compost "heap" as we call it.
It was damp, Damn damp. And, oh, so wet. Coming down in buckets.....literally I had a bucket on the deck....In the end, we only received two and a half inches. But, the people south of us, some in clay soil, couldn't have been in a worse position unless a tornado was coming down upon them.
Our Governor is applying for Federal Disaster Relief. If you can, donate to the Red Cross to assist the victims. And, if I find another relief agency that is reliable, I will let you all know.
Thanks. And please keep these folks in your thoughts.
