Artscape Festival at Lakeside Park Was a Success

The weather was perfect to enjoy the Artscape Festival today at Lakeside Park in Pell City, AL. The artist that participated in the show had many hand crafted treasures. The talent of the artist was shown through the unique items on display today at the festival.

My favorite piece from the Artscape Festival is this oil/acrylic painting. It caught my eye because the oil was so thick it had a 3D effect. Jerone Vason told me this particular painting took two months to dry. My photograph does not come close to showing the beauty of this painting. I loved the idea that was put into the name of this piece, "Path Through Maturity". When we reach middle age the wisdom and maturity we gain shows our beauty as depicted in the beautiful colors of the leaves. Now how awesome is that! He also does interior painting designs. The Artscape Festival was a success and everyone that attended enjoyed the show today at Lakeside Park.

Diane, I loved that picture as well. My Grandfather & my mother painted for a living. My parents used to say, my grandfather never worked a regular job, brought back memories. He and my mother painted landscape as well.....Thank you for sharing.

Marilyn- It was a lot of fun walking around looking at all the wonderful pieces that were up for sale. 

I enjoy keeping the community informed on what is going on in the area.

Endre- I admire anyone who has the talent to put their thoughts on canvas, this artist had a gift for doing so.

Michael- Please do tell your friend about the show, each year they are growing and I am sure they would love to have her.

Fall festivals have to be just the best.  One of our favorites is a "fiber festival" but what we really go for is to see the herding demonstrations - border collies and sheep - it doesn;t get much better,

Michael, Fall festivals have really gotten  popular in my area in the last couple of years.  They are fun to attend and you will get to see your neighbors you have not seen in a long time. Your Fiber Festival sounds like it would be very interesting to attend.  I bet it would be fun to see the herding demonstrations.
