I took a drive north from Coeur d'Alene with my husband on a beautiful Indian Summer Saturday.  We enjoyed the bright blue skies and scenery on the way to our destination, the funky little town of Bayview.  Quaint and quirky, with a float house community on a spectacular scenic bay at the southern tip of Lake Pend Oreille.  We enjoyed a quiet, open air lunch on the deck of a floating restaurant. 

What a glorious day it was!

Sounds like it was a great day. It was warm here, too. But, I do not think that we can call it Indian Summer. Funny thing though, I have a listing right now on a street called Indian Summer (no, I am not joking.)

My sister and my dad both live in Coeur d'Alene and when we there visiting in June (Dad's birthday), we took a drive around Bayview. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I never knew about float houses and it was quite intriguing!!
