I had another interesting trip to the East Mountain area of Albuquerque to view some real estate last week.
Our trip started at Sandia Knolls near NM 14 and Frost Road. We headed north about 14 miles on the Turquoise Trail National Scenic Byway then headed southeast on NM 344 a couple of miles. When we reached our destination we found the cutest little east mountain home.
I like gates. Here's a simple, rustic one that caught my eye on the property:
The mountains you see in the background are the San Pedro Mountains. The first gold rush west of the Mississippi happened not too far from here.
There were some other surprises on the property, including this circa 1950 southwestern style mobile home:
It was a beautiful late summer day in New Mexico, and we saw plenty of motorcyclists and bicyclists in the mountains. With scenic and hilly roads like this it's no wonder why they flock to the area.
We enjoyed our stay, but it was off to Tijeras, NM to see more East Mountain real estate. To start your search for your new east mountain home visit AlbuquerqueMetroRealEstate.com and search for Sandia Park NM Homes for Sale or Homes for Sale in Tijeras NM.
