Albuquerque East Mountain Real Estate

I had another interesting trip to the East Mountain area of Albuquerque to view some real estate last week.

Our trip started at Sandia Knolls near NM 14 and Frost Road. We headed north about 14 miles on the Turquoise Trail National Scenic Byway then headed southeast on NM 344 a couple of miles. When we reached our destination we found the cutest little east mountain home.

I like gates. Here's a simple, rustic one that caught my eye on the property:

Cool East Mountain Gate

The mountains you see in the background are the San Pedro Mountains. The first gold rush west of the Mississippi happened not too far from here.

There were some other surprises on the property, including this circa 1950 southwestern style mobile home:

It was a beautiful late summer day in New Mexico, and we saw plenty of motorcyclists and bicyclists in the mountains. With scenic and hilly roads like this it's no wonder why they flock to the area.

We enjoyed our stay, but it was off to Tijeras, NM to see more East Mountain real estate. To start your search for your new east mountain home visit  AlbuquerqueMetroRealEstate.com and search for Sandia Park NM Homes for Sale or Homes for Sale in Tijeras NM

That looks a bit rustic.  We do not have too many of those homes here.

What a great property Rich....and nice shots, too.  I could live there....and I'd love to have that mobile home.   Did you see the inside?  I'll be it's very cool....

Mr Elite Home Sales Team (Can I call you Mr E?)~ Ha ha, yes, rustic it is. This is the character of the Albuquerque east mountains. It's not California or Texas (God forbid). However, there are east Mountain Luxury properties too.

Kirsten~Of course I saw the inside! At one time it was quite the set up! There was also an old house and a guest house on the property, and the main house was chock full on New Mexico character. My clients opted to make an offer on a much more modern home with new well and septic, new windows, new carpet, new drywall. The old place was fun to see though.

Looks like it was a beautiful day in the 'northern kingdom' as I call it :)  Great day down here in the south as well!
