Built on an unbelievable 3 billion square feet of land, and due to house everything from a theme park to luxury residential villas, Dubailand is sure to be an attraction for everyone. The project, under development by Tatweer, is expected to cost $20 billion in total and is due for final completion by 2020. Some construction phases will be finished much earlier than this, however, and Dubailand will be home to a variety of residents by 2010.
The project will be divided into six differently themed areas, with 45 mega projects and 200 sub projects to be undertaken. While the Dubailand complex will offer entertainment like no other destination, it will also offer a good mix of residential properties that include villas, townhomes and apartments across the different areas of the development.
Some of these projects are: Al Barari, Arabian Crowne, City of Arabia I & M Tower, City of Arabia Metro Tower, City of Arabia Wadi Tower, City of Arabia Wadi Walk, Plantation, Sky Court Towers, The Villa and The Living Legends.
The sheer size of the project means that everything you will ever need it close at hand. With a projection of up to 200,000 visitors per day, the Dubailand project is designed to entertain and impress. Shopping malls, theme parks, sports and recreational facilities, and luxury lifestyle amenities will be just a handful of the things that will keep both visitors and residents constantly distracted.
Unique living is highly promoted here, and all residential properties have something different to offer buyers. While the Wadi Walk offers low-rise apartments with tranquil waterways, the Sky Court Towers offer views of the development and beyond, and with the luxury design concepts of The Villa project; such a wide variety of freehold has never been available in one place before.
Although Dubailand is currently out of the city, being located next to the Emirates Road and encompassing the Dubai Autodrome and Global Village which are already in use, it will be so immense that it will almost be like a self-contained city itself, a city that will cater for tourists, residents, and visitors from all over the UAE.
