0-3: No Roar To Our Season... Detroit Lions Lost (Again)

I drank the Kool-Aid again.

(Doesn't make sense? Don't worry... Detroit Lions fans understand.)

Do you know that definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting a different result? Well, I must be certifiably insane. Because this was the year the Detroit Lions were going to make big improvements.

Whatever.

Waiting for a flight to get back to Michigan, I had the opportunity to watch another loss.

Well, 13 games more to go, but we are already effectively eliminated from the playoffs. Not that I expected we'd get to the playoffs, but I was excited at the prospect of meaningful football in December.

Heck, For the last decade, I'd love to have meaningful football in September.

But at least there's always next year.

Jason, have faith, there's always next year, and the next year, and the next year... that's what makes us Lions' fans.

Jason- I have spent many years shaking my head at yet another bad season of being a Bengals fan. It took a while, but things are looking up. Maybe next year!!!!!

I feel your pain, but the Vikings aren't off to a roaring start either.  Better luck next week.  You might rise from the ashes.  (And, I'm not a huge fan so don't anyone start with me.)  I merely watched the last few minutes because I knew my client would be ready to look at houses right after the game.

Jason...we missed this game since we were working on some 'bad spots' on the lawn & trimming roses, etc.  did not even know that they played so early today. I personally don't like football--too much like gladiators or something; After God's Guys lost yesterday again, it seemed to be a continuation of those who loose keep on giving.. Though both MI teams [State & Univ]  did win, Michiganders should have something to cheer about.
And, there is always next week.

Maybe they lost because you went out of town on them. Hey could be the reason/

Have a good week.

The funny thing is, what does football really mean in the overall scope of life? I mean, it is a religious experience to some, but other than that, not a big deal. I can't believe I let this stuff affect me.

Hmmmmmm, Bears - 3-0?  Who would've thunk?   Especially since they barely even showed up the first quarter!!!

Good thing the Bears had alert special teams... Hester had that great runback on the punt.

I guess their referee-assisted win against the Lions energized their season.

We are all rooting for the Lions to get it into gear.  It would be a very proud and welcoming experience.

Grace, it would be a great experience. Hopefully we Lions fans (and the Greater Detroit area in general) will get to enjoy it someday.

Jason, it is very hard to be a Lions Fan, ha! I think you just need to watch the Michigan Wolverines!

Chris, as a U of Michigan alumnus, I have an easier time watching the Lions than I do the Wolverine nailbiters!
