Ann, I don't know and didn't think to ask. I'll have to call or drive by tomorrow and find out.
They said it was the he - she's busy getting ready to lay some eggs. Usually, when I visit this nursery, the birds are out "talking" to eveyone.
Well, it was 107 here today - not sure how much he had to help, Gabrielle, LOL.
Usually, the pair are quite active and full of antics. I guess it just shows how protective of their impending new family they are.
Okay, I called the nursery. The owner stated they were blue love birds. If found this picture on the web:
Hopefully, I'll be able to catch them after the eggs hatch.
Juli,
Nice capture. Must be a little cooler in there than out in the open. :)
Steve
They're in the shade of a HUGE old ironwood tree, but nothing's cool right now, LOL.
Hi Juli... that bird looks almost too cute to be real. Almost like an animation!
LOL, Steve, he's real. I can't wait until they hatch so I can show everyone, LOL.
Juli, Adorable photo. Love birds are such amazing birds … I am looking forward to seeing photos of the babies.
Thanks, David.
Kathleen, I think that's the nursery's way of getting me to come in more often, LOL.
