The Catalina Flyer is Off for Maintenance - However, the Catalina Adventure is Here

 The Catalina Flyer leaves from Newport Beach and goes to Catalina Island for a wonderful day of adventure in Avalon.

It is temporarily off duty for maintenance.  However, I took the Catalina Adventure to Catalina today, and it was a lot of fun.

It is significantly smaller than the Catalina Flyer and for now no bikes or coolers are allowed due to space restrictions.  For me, the joy of being out on the bow enjoying the wind and watching and actually feeling the waves, more than made up for the difference in size.

So, if you're planning on taking a trip to Catalina, you can still go from Newport Beach and enjoy the new, temporary catamarand.
