What is a Dewlap you might ask.... well a Dewlap looks like a beard .... This guy has an extreme dewlap....
The official definition would be a fold of hair-covered skin called a "dewlap" or "bell" under the chin
He looks healthy and really good... made it thru hunting season
I am always glad when hunting season is over and the moose come back to my valley!

Praful I was on my deck taking the picture... he was down the valley a little but...started to come towrds the house then turned and went back towards the other side... or I could have got close ups!

ZZ Top the Moose. Too funny. I can't imagine seeing these guys from my deck. I cringe when people mention moose hunting. Poor things.
