First cookies, now cleavage...is Sesame Street really that bad?

First it was cookies, now cleavage...is Sesame Street really that bad?

Several years ago, Sesame Street was hit with a scandal over the cookie monster.  Many parents were outraged over the little blue monster who praised the almighty cookie.  I didn't really see the problem, that's just me.  Well Sesame Street responded by changing the cookie monster's diet to include carrots, celery, and other healthy alternatives to the cookie.

Now parents are up in arms again over the video Katy Perry made with Elmo.  I agree, her outfit seems a little risque for a children's show BUT if I recall, hasn't Ms. Piggy always been characterized in a similar light?  See for yourself....

I myself grew up watching Sesame Street back when the cookie monster ate nothing but cookies and I am a fully functional adult with no unhealthy cookie obsessions.   I am fairly certain that this video is probably just as harmless (if accompanied by some appropriate parenting).  Then again, what do I know, I also grew up watching a roadrunner obsessed coyote attempt murder and little tiny blue men who all lived with just one female in the species.   Have we gotten a little too sensitive?  What do you think?

It is amazing how much press this topic has gotten.

It would be nice to hear how great certain areas of the US realesate wise was doing instead all these shortsales and foreclosures.

For instance in our area right know it is more of a sellers market in the 150K range.
