North Carolina offers some wonderful, local wineries with unique tastes and delicious local wines.
I had the opportunity to taste some terrific sweet wines during the Southern Ideal Home Show, and I'm looking forward to a winery visit soon!
Dennis Vineyards is just 6 miles east of Albemarle, a little over two hours from Raleigh near Charlotte NC.
Tours (including free tour options) are available Saturdays at 11 am and 3 pm, or weekdays by appointment.
The Strawberry Wine at Dennis Vineyards looks and tastes absolutely delectable.
It's a bright red color, but isn't a wine cooler by any means - this is a traditional wine, made from fresh ripe strawberries.
Dennis Vineyards offers a variety of sweet wines, including Peach, Cherry, Blackberry, and Sweet White Muscadine.
If you love sweet wines, you'll find some rare treats at this local NC winery.
