Have a Coffee with your last Clients & Send Notes

 Stay in touch

When I was a Sales Manager I used to ask my Realtors "Why did they come to the office every morning for Coffee" And then hang around all morning.

I used to suggest to them they were better off have a coffee with their last client they just sold a house for or too, "They think you're wonderful and like you"  Plus they'll gladly help you with your business if you ask for referrals and a Testimonial.

This Business can get us all bogged down doing stuff...Drop by and say high to your clients, they'll greet you with open arms, and Send them a Note once in a while..."Just thinking of you, have a wonderful day!" " It's been a while, lets do lunch!"

Notes to clients and your sphere, can be very rewarding, especially if you are thoughtful.

Keep in touch with your clients, it will pay you huge dividends.

Cheers to you all, Have an Awesome Day!

Lovely reminder to remember those who really do impact our bottom line. I wish I had immediate access to more of my clients in this way. It pays to find a way to keep the love alive :)

Yes!  It is more refreshing to have coffee with a client or just a friend, than having coffee with other people in the real estate industry who are all talking about real estate and how negative the talk is right now! What a novel idea - just get away from the negativity.

Do anything to stay in touch with past clients and do it consistently.  I know a guy that personally delivers pumpkins to past clients when the market slows down in the fall.  He always has listings through the winter.

With the Buffini Systems, we host client parties.  Old, new, friends, family, future clients can all come!  I host a tea party in the fall, Christmas Party (usually eggnog) in December!  Have fun with it, people will see how much you love to give back!

It's a Good Life!

Hi Jennifer..... Try Personal notes, hand written, "I miss you Guys Hope all is well, Lets do Lunch soon". "I was thinking of your guys today, Have An Awesome Day" I enjoyed helping you find your dream home, lets keep in touch, Lunch is on me or lets just go for coffee". It's the thought that counts and personal notes keep the love alive!

I just sending out a note to all my clients, to say "I hope they had a great Summer"

Debbie...You're right on, Happy clients love us and enjoy our company, make friends for life, go for a coffee once a month or so. You spend night and day sometimes for months, so stay in touch, you told each other al about your personal lives, and they trust you.

Tania.... The idea is to stay in touch, most of my clients are personal friends.

Larry... Great story, people like sincerity, and this agent has learned how to show it, and he is reaping the rewards while having fun.

Claudia...You hit the nail right on the head, schedule these get together's monthly if enjoy doing them.

Frances...Client parties are fun for everyone, have one after you sell a client a home by hosting a house warming, your clients will introduce you to all their friends as The Realtor that sold them their home.Plus you'll be the only Realtor there :O)

Gary...Drop by on the way to work, lunch tine,or Saturday morning, with a coffee in your hand or keep some Starbucks cards primes and take them out for a special coffee, it's a tax write too.

Cheers, thanks for posting, have an awesome day!

Fred...absolutely, I agree.  I do call regularily, send out monthly flyers, send out free tickets to home and garden shows (my expense), have draw for certains events, and meet for lunch yearly.  I was just commenting on how I thought that coffee would be great as well, to do half way through the year.

I just gave several of my clients Architectural Home Tour tickets and we went as a group to see the homes together. After we were done, I took everyone to lunch. It was a group of 10 people and cost around $250 total. Everyone raved about the day and it was a fabulous way to reconnect. I am still hearing wonderful comments about it. What fun!

I like the coffee idea as well!

Good Stuff!  We are, also, advised to hold or go to business lunches with other businesses that we work with.  i.e. home inspectors, attorneys, paralegals, contractors, landscapers, etc.  They do refer us business!

Maribeth...there is something personal in a hand written note or letter. People know you care about them.

Cheers, Try sending 5 a day, Oh you'll have to schedule it or you will forget.

Have a great week!

Fred...... I totally agree with your repeated comments of personal notes. They are such a powerful tool in keeping your name in front of your clients. As you said, it is something that you have to schedule EVERY day, else it is very easy to let the habit slip away. I was at a clients office recently and saw up on her bulletin board a personal note that I had sent to congratulate her on the birth of her child THREE years ago.

When I asked her why she has kept it she told me that it is so infrequent that she receives personal notes that it means a great deal to her.

yes........ she regularly refers business to me.

have Fun

Fred - I can't agree more with this posting. I hand deliver gifts to my clients each year and it is my favorite time of the year. Not only do I get a chance to catch up with them, but I often get a chance to see what they've done with their new home. It is a very rewarding feeling and sometimes it puts me back to the top of their mind for referrals.

Hi Alan..It's seems even hard for my assistant to remember to have personal notes ready for me everyday...she's young and just wrote her exam.I try and send 5 a day, sometimes it's only 5 a week, just last week I mailed my entire client list a personal note to say I hope they had a Great Summer...that generated several calls !!!

Dana...When Birks had more items, I used to go there every Christmas and buy everyone one that bought or sold a home with me that year a Birks Wrapped Gift..It was very effective walking into their work place with a Birks Gift. Their fellow employee talked for weeks, once a grocery store manager let me into the cash room to give a client her gift, she asked me how I got in, I told her her Manager let me in, Now she new everyone in the store saw me with the gift. I need to do something like that again.
