Good Judgment

"I learned that good judgment

comes from experience

and that experience grows out of mistakes."

Omar Bradley, General

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Good judgment

We are not born with good judgment we develop it over time and in our efforts to grow as a person.

Good judgment comes as a result of trial and error and in making decisions in both the good times as well as in the times of adversity. We learn from our decision making experiences and how those decisions have impacted the situations.

Our life experiences become the foundation for our knowledge and understanding and they will grow into wisdom and good judgment.

As we apply our wisdom to the situations we encounter we accumulate experience and that experience will be basis of good judgment.

Good judgment is a process, we are not born with it; it's earned as a results of attending the school of hard knocks and learning from our life experiences.

Great blog on good judgement!  Wish more people had better judgement, it would make everyone's lives easier.  I also wish I could go back in time and make better judgements.  However;  as your blog points out, it often comes with learning from bad experiences.

I've had my share of bad judgement. It stinks, but if you learn the lessons, good judgement abilities will develop. I figure, if I'm stuck with the mess anyway, I may as well make sure something positive comes out of it.

It scares me when Generals learn from mistakes, it costs people's lives...
