Short sales are the rage around here. It's limited, however, to agents taking listings of homes with owners who are in arrears. They are listing homes as "short sales" as though it were a feit a compli.
Buyers are calling left and right thinking they can pick up bargain buys with short sale listings just like buying a pair of shoes.
"Short Sale". If I had a dollar for every new listing that had that in the system, I'd be stopping by Lenn's office on my way to Miami.
They can be difficult and you will always have suprises from the lender. I think USA Dave is right about the buyer as these deals are often delayed and become very cumbersome for the listing agent as you are serving two masters (one that always wants more and the other that doesn't care anymore).
Good luck!
