I received the NAR "REALTOR" publication for October 2010 and couldn't believe the photo on the front cover with a man under water and language including "take a deep breath" and "plunge into" to promote their annual conference being held in November in New Orleans! To make matters worse, when I went to the website to write a letter to the editor, one reason given to attend was to "spill some green on New Orleans." The level of insensitivity astounded me. While I applaud the effort to help the community by holding the conference in New Orleans, I find the photo and language absurd.

I agree. further, i found the publication to be more like a pamphlet this month than a magazine. content was minimal and boring

The NAR walked away from us years ago. I don't go to their conferences not pay much attention to their dorky commercials!

More opinions than you want to hear about.
For some strange reason, discussion of the NAR prompts me to recall an old song, Beans in our ears. Somehow, there seems to be a remote connection.
