We can congratulate ourselves. With an average score of 787, the Twin Cities area topped a list of 152 cities. A score of 787 is a C+. Not the best. But it is the top score for the nation. Minneapolis has been on top three of the last four years however. The average score was 792 in 2007 and 789 in 2009. The report was from Vantage-Score collected during the first half of 2010. And we only beat Madision, Wisconsin by 2 points, followed by Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Jackson, Mississippi and Corpus Christi, Texas missed being last by only Harlingen, Texas with 684.
Vantage-Score is a a lesser-known entity created by credit bureaus to compete with Minneapolis-based Fair Isaac.
But, nevertheless, hoorah for us!
And, now adieu, my friends for at least a day while I savor the deliciousness at having completed the 30 in 30 challenge and the 817 page novel, Anna Karenina. I'm pooped. And, thanks to all my colleagues who have been in this with me.....so many of you wrote beautiful comments on Milepost 28. I will have to reciprocate in due time.
I appreciate all my subscribers and friends who have been here with me during the month of September. And, thanks for telling me that I have a "voice".
