Manassas, VA Economy to Get a Boost in 2011 From an Unlikely Source

By
Real Estate Agent with Metro Referrals

Reading the Bull Run Observer today, I noticed an article that headlined an expectation of over 700 bus loads of tourists to converge on the Manassas National Battlefield Park during 2011.  The ocassion?  It's going to be 150th anniversary of the First Battle of Manasssas.

Local businesses will surely benefit as busloads and carloads of Civil War buffs make their way to the Manassas National Battlefield Park for this landmark anniversary.

If you have never been to the Manassas National Battlefield Park, don't wait until 2011.  The fall foliage is just coming into view and the scenery is gorgeous this time of year.  For more information on the Manassas National Battlefield Park, click the link provided.

There are a lot of events planned for next year to celebrate the 150 anniversary.  Watch out for the cannon booms.

Ann, I think it's good advice to go now instead of waiting!    It'll be an interesting year!

Pat:  I think so too.  I'm not a big fan of crowds.

When my dad was young he used to go out there and look for bullets.  He said there were tons of them back then.  Not sure if any now.

Tchaka:  That would be neat, to find a Civil War bullet.  I don't hear of anyone finding any.  Then again, don't know of anyone looking for one either.

Sounds wonderful and next year sounds like it is going to be extremely busy.
