Henry the Horse Needs our Help --- Please Read

By
Real Estate Agent with First Coast Sotheby’s International Realty

The SPCA has a young horse named Henry who had a very serious colic and needed an operation to save his life. Henry is a beautiful Paso Fino gelding that is approx 2 years old. He was abandoned and came in as a stallion. Henry has gone from crazed stallion to a sweet and loving gelding in a very short period of time. We have begun to train and ride him and we couldn't think of putting him down after his bout with colic. The cost to save Henry was over $7000.00. We were fortunate to find two horse/animal lovers who donated $1000.00 each to save Henry. We need an additional $5000.00 so that the SPCA can continue to treat and feed the 29 horses that are presently at our facility. Henry is coming back from the Surgical Unit in Palm Beach today. His prognosis is good and he should make a full recovery.

Hi Janie- If the picture is Henry, he sure is beautiful. I'm going to be able to send a little and if every one who reads this post can send a little then the money would be raised. I'm glad he wasn't put down, he's too pretty of a horse!

Linda, thank you SOOOOO Much, you are right, if everyone just gives something, it doesn't just help Henry, but the 29 horses also and the ones yet to come!  You are the best!

Katerina, thank you for stopping by and the SPCA is surely doing great work for those who can't help themselves...

He is adorable!  I am glad he is doing well and will recover from the colic.  With him being sweet and loving, I don't think there will be any problems finding a good home for him.  Horses like that are always in demand.  It is nice of you to help out.

$7000?!?!?!  Wow!   You'd think they'd cut a rescue a break.  Okay, I'll spread the word.

In addition to your good work, may I suggest you spread the word about colic prevention and treatement ?
