Day 5, 365 Things to Do in Williamson County TN

Hike, Bike or Bring your Own Horse!  Bowie (pronounced boo-ee) Nature Park is a nice place to go hiking, or bring your bike.  If you have a horse, you can trailer in for some trails as well.  Located at 7211 Bowie Lake Road in Fairview, Tennessee, Bowie Nature Park offers 700 acres of forest, lakes and trails. It is not crowded, so if you are hiking, there is not much of a chance you will be overtaken by horses or bicycles. Don't worry though, there are trails designated for hikers only. Hiking is free, but there is a 2.00 charge per bike or horse for the use of the trails (if you are not a resident of Fairview). Bowie is open sunrise to sunset year around. Check the website for the Nature Center Hours. Some trails may be closed to horses or biking due to the rain. Call ahead, 615-799-5544. Bowie also has a great treehouse playground for kids of all ages. It's a Fairview City Treasure not to be missed.

Tomorrow:  Golf of another kind!
