having had more than a couple of friends who have been in this situation, I consider it to be very important to suppost and observe the Brest Cancer Awareness campaign.

OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH!
Tomorrow is the first day of October and that means that it is also Breast Cancer Awareness month. I would venture to say that probably the majority of people have been touched in some manner by this disease. It seems that there are so many women from all walks of life whose lives have been affected by breast cancer.
And, it isn't just women who are affected. Men too can be stricken with this disease. In fact, the cases of breast cancer is men is on the rise.
According to the National Cancer Society, approximately 209,060 new cases of breast cancer, including 1,970 men, will be diagnosed this year in the United States. Sadly, the estimates are that this year, 40,230 men and women are expected to die from breast cancer.
There are many great organizations and events going on this month to raise awareness with the ultimate goal of finding a CURE! I for one hope and pray that a cure for ALL cancers will be found within my lifetime!
Getting out and supporting the cause can be fun and rewarding! Let's get PINK this month!
