The South End of Bath Maine

Bath Maine is truly a fantastic place to call home.  I lived there myself for 3 years, but being a 30something Bath proved a bit quiet and I headed back to the metropolis of Portland Maine at 75,000 people strong :) The Bath Maine real estate market currently has about 120 homes for sale with the lionshare under $200,000.  It never ceases to amaze me how many fantastic, large, well built homes exist in this community at prices well below Brunswick, its neighbor just 10 minutes down the road. Overall the housing market in Bath has remained slower than southern locales with no good reason given its vibrant community and superb access to local area beaches and recreation.

Bath's South Side of town was traditionally the lower income, working class side of town, home to Bath Iron Works, whilst the North End offered a bit more of a high brow lifestyle.  These stereotypes still exist, but the south end shoudl definitely not be overlooked as evidenced by the home below for sale.
