Prince William County Makes #14 on Forbes Richest Counties List
In case you missed it earlier this year, our own Prince William County, VA made it on the Forbes Richest Counties List. Wonder where we'll be in 2011? Maybe up a notch? We'll have to wait and see.
Prince William County, Virginia has the distinction of making the Forbes Top 25 Richest Counties in America List. We come in at #14.
Six of the twenty-five counties on the list are in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. No surprise that our sister counties, Loudoun and Fairfax made the list as well. Fairfax came in second to Loudoun.
Some interesting statistics about our home of Prince William County that were highlighted are:
Population: 358,719
Median Household Income: $88,675
Percentage of Residents Over the Age of 25 with Bachelor's Degree or Higher: 38
We are very fortunate to live in an affluent area. And from the eyes of a Northern Virginia Realtor®, our real estate market is always outperforming the national numbers because of our proximity to the Federal government, military bases, government contractors and private industry. Seems there is a revolving door to our real estate market. If you're selling, there is always someone being transferred to the area who is buying. For this, we can be very grateful.
