Have you always wanted to join the Navarre Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and just didn't know how?
Santa Rosa County is once again offering CERT training to interested residents. Classes will include training in first aid, disaster psychology, fire prevention and basic firefighting techniques, introduction to emergency management, damage assessment, light search & rescue, and more. Training is free and once participants gain their certification they will be eligible to join existing teams or form new teams within their community. More information can be found at:
These classes will be held over a two week period at the Holley-Navarre Senior Center (8476 Gordon Goodin Lane). Times and dates are as follows:
Friday, September 28, 6-9pm
Saturday, September 29, 8am-5pm
Sunday, Sept 30, 1-5pm.
Saturday, October 6, 8am-5pm
Sunday, Oct 7, 1-5pm.
