I noticed a new cafe not too long ago and have been wanting to stop in and sample the food!  Today, the weather is pure perfection in the mountains and it's just one of those wonderful Fall days that makes you want to be outdoors.  As I rode around the mountainside, I decided now would be a good time to buzzzzz on into Bumble Bee's Cafe and I'm very happy that I did.  

I'm reminded of Georgia Tech with their colorful yellow and black decor although I know they are the yellow jackets and I'm talking about Bumble Bees!  Of course, I mentioned that to a staff member there and he said they are being told that a lot.  (C'mon dawgs, don't let this stop you from going on in to a nice cafe with excellent food!)  I actually had the country fried steak and "real" mashed potatoes and it was delicious, down to the single crumb.   Actually, the truth is, I couldn't eat it all because the steak is larger than what you usually get in other establishments.  The gravy was superb, the steak was tender and the "real" mashed potatoes, well, were real and that was an extra special treat.

When you are in Blue Ridge, give the Bumble Bee's Cafe a try.  They are located on Hwy. 515 diagonally across from Ingles Grocery and Roses and are open 7 days a week, 8am to 2pm.  You can order breakfast, lunch or dinner anytime.

Breakfast
An assortment of menu items, eggs, bacon, sausage, country ham, ribeye steak, grits, home fries, pancakes, omelets for meat lovers or vegetarians and of course biscuits, muffins and an varied assortment of breads. Prices range from $4.99 to $7.50 plus a kid's menu $1.99 to $2.99.

Lunch
Sandwiches, Burgers, Philly Steak, Hot Dogs with Chili and/or coleslaw, Chicken, Soup and Salads.  Prices range from $3.50 to $7.99.

Dinner Platters
Chicken Tenders, Country Fried Steak, 8oz Chopped Steak, Grilled Porkchops, Vegetable Platter and side items.  Prices range from $4.99 to $8.99 for one entree and one side.
