The Death of a loved one, Divorce, and Moving....

The Death of a loved one, Divorce, and Moving are the three most stressful things in life.

Moving is a very emotional experiance. But if you keep the next few things that I tell you in mind, it may make it a happier experiance.

First, keep the end result in mind at all times.  Don't dwell on the things that you are doing now, but keep in mind the joy you will have when it is all over.  Focusing on the future is one proven way to ease anxiety.

Trust in your Realtor, and all those around you who are helping you.  The professionals who are getting paid to help you do the same thing every day, so believe in them when they are handling the transaction.

Also,  give yourself some wiggle room when it comes to money, and deadlines.  Over estimate everything.  If you think a repair will come to $400, make it $500, if you believe that you will be able to close in 3 weeks, give yourself 4 weeks.  Be prepared for intrest rates to rise, or for the unexpected cost at closing.  If you do this, it just may be that all will be better than you expected.  In the same line, EXPECT for the buyer of your home to want you to fix a couple things after the home inspection, or on the other side, expect to have to fix something before you move in to your new home.  Just don't go in blindly, over prepare, over estimate.

Ask questions.  Don't just sit at home and worry.  If you have a concern, ask your Realtor, or you lender, the home inspector.

When you seem to be at the end of the rope, and you just can't stop thinking of all that is going on... TAKE A BREAK!  Do something that you enjoy to take your mind off everything.

Good stuff, Shari. You need to put relevant "tags" at the bottom of your posts so consumers will find your blog easily when they search.
