Gator looking For New LakeGator "Dance"

Here we have an example of Florida's Finest, a 4 foot Alligator.  I found him sauntering by my Sunday open House in Governor's Green at Plantation Golf and Country Club, in Venice Florida.  One neighbor came out with camera, and the Gator sprinted about 30 yards before playing the "snake" role again.  By the time these off-spring get about this size, old dad sends them away to find their own pond/lake and meet some mates from another family... no in-breeding allowed!  Notice the relative size of the tail to the rest of the animal. Even at this early age, the tail looks to hold several pounds of nice gator steaks.  It is too bad there weren't a few of these "rattlers", among the US Team on the Ryder Cup course in Wales yesterday and today!!!

It's interesting just how many alligators there are in urban and suburban locations throughout Florida.

EGADS!  I think I'll stay right here in the desert....where I have a much lower chance of being eaten whole!  Do you carry mace or anything to fend off attacks....?
