Speechless Sunday (Almost)--A Watertower to Smile About!

Minnesota Smiling Watertower by Teri Eckholm Realtor

It is hard not to smile when driving up Interstate 94 from the Twin Cities to Fargo when you see this old time water tower smiling at you. Many cities have upgraded to larger more efficient water towers. Forest Lake, Minnesota just disassembled its "tin man" water tower a year or so ago. Hopefully this smiling icon will remain intact for several more years.

Teri - I can safely say, I'll bet that is the cutest water tower around. . .And we don't normally use the word, "cute" to describe a water tower!

Teri, I'm with Myrl that is one cute water tower.  I love the looks of the old time water tower compared to the new boring ones.

Teri.. cute... but is the water FREEEEEE?  lol  And yes, I also like the looks of the older towers over the newer towers. Then again, if new modern homes, which would one want?

Joshua--It is pretty cute isn't it?

Roger--Sure!! I always smile when I pass it!

Myrl--Makes one think it is a friendly sort of town doesn't it?

Marchel--We were kind of sad that they took the old Forest Lake one down...it wasn't operating but it was very cool looking.

Jane--I'd agree! :)

Jeff--Well...that depends on the buyer. I have owned a 1910 home and our current home was originally built in 1940...it has been remodeled but has a very old foundation. So...I would be ready for a 2000+ home if I were looking today. That said, I appreciate the construction and beauty of older homes too!
