Mitchell,

That is beautiful, and I thought Saint Patrick's was spectacular.  It looks like folks are lined up for the blessing of the animals!  The pictures are wonderful!

Ron and Alexandra, Roger, Hannah and Steve,

Thanks for stopping by. I walked by the Cathedral after a listing appointment this afternoon. They were having the Feast of St. Francis service. The animals flocked to Morningside Heights for the annual animal blessing. Many people brought their pets - mostly dogs and cats, but there were Llamas, sheep, and snakes too.

Mithell, what a beautiful cathedral. It would be interesting to read about the history and age of the cathedral. They just don't make them like this anymore.

Mitchell - Beautiful!  I love the blessing of the animals.  We do that too at my parish church.  I understand the Cathedral is never finished.  I still have to see it.  I missed my chance when I lived in the city 40 some odd years ago.

Hi Rosalinda, The Cathedral is on an 11.3-acre campus. They have plans for new developments with out demolishing or altering any existing buildings. They are always restoring buildings and surrounding open space. It's a beautiful urban oasis.
