It's Alive - No not Frankenstein but the Real Estate Market

We all go through those times of doom and gloom, start looking for other employment, second guess our career choices.  It doesn't take much more than a week without a new lead or pending deal to turn everything on it's side.  In this strange highly confused market we wander around like we're in a room full of mirrors trying to figure out how to get out and be more productive.  Then the call comes and it's like Tinker Bell dusted us and we can fly again.

Like Frankenstein it takes a jolt of energy to bring it to life.  Perhaps that energy is an internal jolt of motivation caused by a singular unqualified lead.  Potential though...that is the key.  If we are honest about our jobs we basically function, live, and breath off potential.  Across the board I'm reading that there is some action and real estate isn't dead.  Of course it's not dead but maybe now we (real estate professionals) are getting it right.  It's not rocket science, but it takes confidence and assertiveness to do your job.  A listing doesn't matter if it can't sell because it lacks potential.  It could potentially lead to new contact but the primary goal is to sell that property and realize the potential.

My office mates are staying active and have potential business.  The buyers are there they just need captured and advised.  The rates are certainly helping due to increased buying power.  People are able to obtain the same home for a much lower payment.  It may be a short term solution but lending at 4ish percent is far more valuable than lending to everyone (like in the past).  Most buyers probably don't realize the long term benefits of locking in at today's interest rates.

Buyer's if you're out there you're right on track.  Keep hunting.  Prices are low, interest rates are low, and the inventory is high.  It is truly a buyers market and conditions are right.  Forget the tax credit, interest rates like these will benefit your many thousands more dollars and well into the future.
