The Roadrunner under my sink was waiting for a new coat of paint... he came in to wait in private and he was feeling a little self-concious! He has been hanging out there, hoping I would fix him up and get him ready for a new "season" here at La Quinta Country Club!
The spunky, feisty bird can be spotted all across the desert region, but the Roadrunner is very special here at La Quinta Country Club, becaues he is our mascot! In 1973 the club logo was changed from
"Little Joe" holding a bag of golf clubs. To a new Roadrunner logo...

Through the years... the Roadrunner can be seen everywhere in our neighborhood, and we see them chasing over walls and scurrying down the fairways~ Our monthly newsletter is called the "Roadrunner" and our Men's Member-Guest is also "THE ROADRUNNER" !

The Roadrunner is synonymous with LQCC and is very much at home here~

Years ago, before we moved to La Quinta, my Mom painted a Roadrunner and it hung in our kitchen at home... now it is in my kitchen in La Quinta...
...even crazier, my brother has this image tattooed on his shoulder, so he takes the Roadrunner everwhere!
This afternoon, I returned our "garden Roadrunner" to his place in front of our house-- he has been painted and buffed and is ready to welcome in a new season at La Quinta Country Club!
