BRING US BACK TO THE FUTURE... an invitation to all AR bloggers.

By
Industry Observer

We all have been there... worked hard on a blog early on in our Active Rain blog careers only to see them fizzle and go nowhere.

You know the blog... the one that was well thought out, well written, sharing your wisdom and insight. BUT once posted somehow it went nowhere and just to become a drip of a drop in the Active Rain puddle.

Deep down you know it was good. But God forbid you would write another blog on the same subject, thinking... "been there done that!"

So, here is a 2nd chance to bring attention back a good posted message and get out there amongst the rain drops.

I invite you all to go back and look at your past posts and give bring them into the future by reinviting us to read what you are proud of and know it is holds some great info.

PS: Don't let pride get in your way... after all you wrote it and posted it once.

Please... just post your link in a comment below.

Ok.... I'll prime the pump. Here is one I did over 3 months ago, way back in July.

Hi Craig,

I see this as an opportunity for new members like my wife and me to view some of the blogs in the past without having to search thru old posts.

Good idea,

Thanks Jay

Hey Craig,

Great idea, and I'm looking forward to visiting the blogs that get posted here!

I've not been here long enough to have a stash to go back through, but I've included 2 of my blogs that I really like:

Portsmouth New Hampshire Tidbits - This was my first blog where I had learned to insert pictures, and it's about the town I call home and that I love!
New Hampshire Made Delights! - I like this one because I love the pictures and I LOVE the foods at this great little New Hampshire store, and I really liked the way this blog of mine looked once I got it up online.   ;-)

Thanks for the opportunity to post these again, and I look forward to others that will be posted here as well!

Craig Don't you realize that the same agents have the featured blogs. I have written good stuff only to see the same subject a few days later as a featured post

Ann, I hope to one day visit the area you live & work in... it looks so inviting, quaint and picturesque!  I always loved New England... especially in the autumn.

Craig, this is a good idea.  I like it.  Makes sense.

I thought my very first post here was good, but I wish I'd figured out how to make it a list of 10 instead of 8 (I've since learned from Teresa Boardman and another site that apparently '10' is the magic number that gets better results):

http://activerain.com/blogsview/Top-8-Things-to-Remember-When-Leaving-a-Phone-Message-for-Listing-Agents?5661

I also thought this one was good and is about a very important issue in our business:

I also wish more ActiveRainers would heed my advice here:

Well for me.... the future was yesterday!   I thought this was the coolest tool I've seen in awhile!  Not a long post or well written but just some cool info I wanted to share and didn't want anyone to miss who might be interested.

Linda, thanks for reposting. I'm going to play around on the speedy site. Didn't see your blog yesterday.

Craig, again - Great Idea.

I am reading the blog posts people are including here, I don't have any to re post. But Ann, I had to comment on Portsmouth. When I was living in Boston back in the stone age, we used to trek to NH for hiking etc but also to go to the Blue Strawberry in Portsmouth. It was a price fixe menu and very unusal and delicioso for it's time!  Thanks for reminding me!

Super idea Craig, I think this would make a really nice regular feature. My contribution will be New marketing goodies to promote Active Rain.

I'd also like to mention Jeff Belonger's How those years fly by and we're still looking for more pics for The furry babies of Active Rain. Later...

I'm kind of surprised that my blog about being cautious was not more well-received because it is a reminder that we need to keep alert and not always be so trusting:  Always LISTEN to your Gut and Proceed with Caution!  (Members Only)

Now I totally don't know if I actually just put the link in or not - you might have to just go to my profile and look at my blogs (this was from 11/5) because I am computer-illiterate sometimes! ;)

Thanks, Craig, for opening the floor for everyone to dig through their archives for the good stuff again! Mine was previously posted as a comment on our "red-headed stepchild" status mentioned in a recent blog of yours.

Craig advised me to blog it...so I did, and here it is:)
