New to Vancouver WA - Neighbors Market

Downtown (actually midtown) has a new neighbor

Vancouver has some options for organic or natural foods - besides the weekly seasonal farmer's markets, there is a Whole Foods and a Trader Joe's. We also have some farms that sell direct to the public. Opening in October, "Chuck's Produce and Street Market". (Here's the link to Chuck's. You'd think a company spending millions to create a shopping experience could've done a bit more for a web page. But, Hey! They're grocers, not webdesigners.)

Very little of those food options are convenient for the west side of Vancouver. West of I5 had little food choices besides the standard quicky-mart or a very homely Safeway. Until now! I'm probably the first to be telling you that, come November, the west side of Vancouver will have a full time, convenient to shop local and natural grocery!

Visit Neighbors Markets website and then get ready to enjoy shopping from a store that whole-heartedly supports local and sustainable consumption. Now you can live in a walkable neighborhood AND get food that won't make you feel guilty.

Whether you're looking for your first home, or possibly your last, or selling either of them, I have the patience and experience to help you make the best choice in Vancouver Washington. I hope they do good, but my question is I wonder how they will compete with the downtown farmers market during the summer months. You think they would be competing for the same customers.

Todd, the Neighbors Market will be a complement to the Farmer's Market.  In fact, the farmers will probably be able to stock the store on Sundays so the folks that missed them on the weekend can still get their produce.  Not to mention, the farmers market doesn't typically carry milk or butter or toilet tissue.  :)
