Is it just me??

I fully appreciate the efficiencies offered by technology, and the speed of which we can communicate is awesome!! Why is it then, that the agents who require you to email them for property info take so darn long to reply?

I'm sure that they are all so busy that answering the phone gets in the way of doing business, then requiring an email should allow them the time to communicate....right???

So??? What's the deal? Buyers in this fast paced internet racing at the speed of light world we live in expect a response the second the email lands....right??? NAR even tells us that the gen X and Y's think a response in more than 15 minutes is way too long...So...what's the deal?

If a listing agent requires me to ask my questions via email, then should they not reply in a "timely" manner????

Our clients demand this, and darn it, so should we!

I pine sometimes for the good ole days, when you picked up the phone, called the listing agent, they answered the phone and BAM... you had a conversation....imagine.....

Quincy - You're absolutely right. We give agents the option of calling, texting or emailing us regarding our listings, but with any form of communication we respond A.S.A.P..

I know the feeling we need to treat and respond to others the way we want to be treated in today's market I think some individuals forget this golden rule.

I prefere email to all other forms of communication since I work at odd times of the day/night and 7 days a week. I expect a response from clients within 24-36 hours but I attempt to respond to all emails within 1-2 hours. Even if my response is,"I got your email. I'm going to contact the buyer/seller and will get back to you asap." It is important to me that the agent/client/etc. knows I'm on top of my game.
