Lead generating

By
Real Estate Agent with Real Estate
Believe it or not,. as Realtors, we are in the lead generation business. I see so many post on various Real Estate forums asking "How to get leads" or "What is the best way to generate leads." I think the best way to get leads if you are new to the business is letting everyone you come in contact with, that you are in Real Estate. Word of mouth is free. There is a agent in the office that has been in Real Estate for a few months and he has leads coming all of the time. He doesn't even pay to advertise. He just takes advantage of the free online ads. He uses Craigslist, Oodle.com and several others. He also does about an hour of cold calling each day. Needles to say, he does a lot of business. So, it's pretty easy to generate leads for free when you just start out in the business. Good luck and go generate some business.

Another freebie site which has pre-loaded all NAR Realtors is Agentopolis.  We have seen several people using them when we market our yard sign rider -voice, text, pix system www.taggline.com.

Best of luck,

These are all good ideas.  Your sphere of influence is the best place to start.  Free stuff is OK but it takes money to make money.

Thanks for the advise.  I like researching and finding free stuff and using it.  Getting back to basics where you don't have to fork out money for your every effort.  If you have the money and want to spend it, that's fine but it doesn't always take money to make money.  Its takes a smart idea, that you work... to make money.  It doesn't grown on trees and some of us need to know about the free stuff so that we can take the money we have and use it wisely on the family and other needs.

Thanks for the post, I will definitely check it out and bookmark for later reference.

When conducting online marketing campaigns a lot of agents make the mistake of shifting their focus from leads to traffic. The Internet is a cost effective lead generation resource.

Thanks for the post mark.  Some of us overlook the obvious. ActiveRain has somehow mssed your list... lol. I have three new leads in the past two weeks who found me from my profile here.  Keep Blogging, it works.

Mark, make your web site your assistant for lead generating. It will work 24/7/365 and cost you or your clients nothing. Check out the recent blog.
