The Glenview Park District was selected as a finalist for the National Recreation and Park Association's 2009 Gold Medal for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management, and it will be easy to see why once you visit, you may never want to leave.

  • October 9th:  Up, Up and Away - Celebrate the arrival of fall! Children & families, bring your kites, demonstrate your flying abilities & get some high-flying tips. Fun competitions, special awards, plus a huge candy drop at noon!
  • October 9th:  Build your Own Scarecrow - Bring the kids and some old clothes to Wagner Farm and we'll provide the straw and the know-how to build your very own scarecrow.Autumn Fun in Glenview
  • October 16th:  Wagner Farm Corn Harvest Festival - Come experience harvest time from another era. There is corn picking by hand, hay rides, farm activities, and of course, harvest food treats.
  • October 16th, 17th, 30th: - Hay Rides at the Grove -  If sitting on bales of hay and singing songs as your wagon is pulled through The Grove's woodlands sounds like a perfect fall evening, this is for you! Roasting marshmallows and popping popcorn over a campfire will also be part of the fun.
  • October 22nd: - Halloween Spooktacular - Come in your costume and enjoy costumed characters, entertainment, crafts, pumpkin hunt, costume contest, face painting, giant inflatables and food.

If you aren't familiar with the Glenview Park District's 18.6 acre Wagner Farm, it is one of the last working dairy farms in Cook County. It is open to the public for recreation and learning. The farm provides a unique opportunity for families to learn about our farming heritage and experience first hand "the way things used to be."
