It's time for the celebration of Jacksonville's Art in the Park Festival, held for the seventh time this Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 from 11 am to 3 pm on the Northbank Riverwalk between The Landing and the CSX building.
Art in the Park is sponsored by Jacksonville's Department of Recreation and Community Services.
Admission is free and includes a mix of entertainment, hands-on activities and exhibits by local artisans.
Some of the things visitors can do is a sample of painting, drawing, working with clay, ceramics, sidewalk chalk art, keyboards, other instruments and arts-and-crafts.
Performances are also planned throughout the day, along with a children's art exhibit.
Wow! This sounds like a lot of fun and it's F-R-E-E!
