Fun things to do in Hercules, CA-the parks!
Today was a great day. The sun was out and the weather was nice as usual in Hercules, CA. I had the opportunity to take my daughter to Frog Park. I walked and she took a pleasant stroll in her red wagon. As soon as we arrived, her eyes lit up and I could see the smile breaking through her sun hat.
I let her off the wagon and at first, she was taken back by the older kids playing. I placed her on the toddler swing and then the instantaneous smile returned. In fact, it turned to an outright giggle. After awhile, she gave me a look of let me down, I wanna play now. I placed her on the ground and she was off running to the toddler play lot. She played and played and played.
I walked her to the padded frog and placed her on top of it. She was having a blast and couldn’t stop looking around. She almost jumped off of the frog and wanted to play on the older tot lot area. I couldn’t hold her back as she grabbed my hand and led me there. It was funny, as she was walking, she looked at the slide and monkey bars as if to say one day, I’ll be back and be big enough to play with you.
We called it a day and she got back into her red wagon and I pushed her back home. What a great day.
Hercules, CA has ten great parks for use by its residents. A great place to take your children for a fun day at the playground is where we went: Frog Pad Park! It’s located at the Corner of Sycamore Avenue and Willet Street, Hercules, CA. It has two Children's tot lots and 4 picnic tables. One of the great things about the park is that it has padded grounding so no major scrapes and bruises for the kids.
