Ok, I've said it before. In fact I may have said it too much this week, but here's my final installment on Political-ness. After that I will resume my usual meanderings and witicisms.
Proposition 101- Provisions and Potential Impacts:
- Cuts annual vehicle registration fee to a flat $10/vehicle.
- Fee reductions cause a $390Million loss to transportation and road and bridge funding.
- Cuts specific ownership tax to $2 per new vehicle and $1 per old vehicle over the course of 4 years.
- When fully implemented, SO tax reductions cause a $900Million loss to counties, cities, school districts and special districts.
- Exempts first $10,000 of vehicle purchase price from sales tax.
- Locally-determined sales tax policies undermined by statewide vote.
- Eliminates state and local telecommunications charges.
- Telecom tax reductions cause a $377Million loss to state and local budgets.
- Freezes E911 fees at 2009 levels.
- Allows for no further improvement to or inflation adjustment for emergency response systems.
- Immediately lowers state income tax rate from 4.63 to 4.5% and ultimately to 3.5%.
- When fully implemented, this causes a $1.3Billion loss to the state.
Ok, now, get out there and VOTE!!!
Ooof- sorry, tripped over my soapbox....
