Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) announced that it will cut electric rates by five percent this started on November 1, 2006.  This is due to the continued downward trend in fuel costs.  Kissimmee residents may be more thankful than most. Their electric rates, are among the lowest in the state.  With cost of living on the increase this is no doubt welcoming news for Kissimmee residence.  Also for residence who struggle to pay their utility bills on a monthly basis, KUA's Good Neighbor Energy Fund is a voluntary customer contributory program which helps KUA customers experiencing financial difficulty pay their KUA utility bills in emergency situations.
