MEETING A LOCAL ACTIVE RAIN COLLEAGUE!
I have been an active participant here on Active Rain since this past February. During this time one of the best rewards of Active Rain are the people in this community. While I was in the hospital and then at home recovering, my AR buddies were there cheering me along. It meant so much and I truly feel as if I have expanded my net of friends to include many of my fellow Active Rainer's!
Just this week, I finally met one of my local AR colleagues Pippa Mac who is right here in The Woodlands. We both subscribe to each others blog and enjoy the camaraderie through this venue. It was way past time to finally put aside our busy schedules and to get together.
We met at our local Starbucks and hit it off. Of course I knew she would be fantastic in person as you really do learn a lot about a person and their personality from reading their blog. Pippa is just as warm, enthusiastic and fun as I imagined her to be.
If you have yet to meet a fellow AR colleague who is in your same area, now is the time! Who knows, you may be sitting across the closing table with them in the future!
