Just like the song from The Jeffersons goes, Movin' on up to the East Side, you can sell your home in West Whittier and move on up to a bigger and better home in East Whittier.
There is a progression of higher prices for homes as you go from the southwest side of Whittier up to the northeast part of Whittier.
Average price of homes for sale in Whittier neighborhoods:

Palm Park | $359,927 |

The progression in prices goes from the south and west up to the north and east, culminating in the most expensive homes in Friendly Hills.
You can see that this trend has continued over the years by reading my post from December 2009, Whittier Homes for Sale - Moving Up in Whittier Neighborhoods.
