Make Your Own READ Poster
From reading my blog, you can probably tell that our household is a big fan of libraries and reading. Ever notice the great "Read" posters at the library? My younger child LOVES the one of the Hobbit in the tree, and who can resist the one with Yoda? Did you know that you can order your own copy of your favorite Read Poster? We found this out a few years ago from one of the Wallingford Librarians.
When my older child joined the American Library Association, their magazine started coming to the house, and my wife got the bright idea to "make her own" Read Posters. Below is an example (the photo used is a screen shot of a parody that the kids love of the Snuggy on YouTube):
You wouldn't believe how many of our kids' friends thought this was a real READ poster--they all love it!
