It's Official...Active Rain IS Facebook!

I want to rant about AR but what's the point?  The site is great.  I just wish they had a phone number readily available.  I had to listen through a dozen saved messages on my cell phone to finally get a number from an old call I had from someone at AR.  I had a simple question concerning my "HD" quality photo for my community sponsorship.

I remember having an issue with Facebook concerning some intellectual property that they were stealing from me.  Of course that was a very interesting thing with their not having a number to call and then no one ever returning a call...errrr email.  That's how we do business in the modern age...no phone number...you don't deserve personal communication unless it's an email.  I just wish for once someone would make it illegal for a company to not use the phone for customer service.  How about a fine or a penalty up to $1 Million per dissatisfied customer for those companies without a phone number, or who outsource their customer service department overseas where the department has a poor phone line/ signal or people who speak too softly or don't speak English that can be understood...too harsh?

If I ran a business without a phone number how long would I be in business?  I spent an hour last evening at 9:30 PM with some clients who would definately be looking for a new Realtor® today if I didn't handle their issue...right then...AND BY A PHONE!

Active Rain...please post your phone number...while you are getting bigger please don't start to act too big.  Anyone agree?

It is sad to see that we can't touch base with people via telephones.  How about a text?  That seems to be the wave of the here and now.  When I call my cable company for help and they send me to someone in India - I demand to be transferred to someone in the US.  They do it!

James,
Sorry to hear about your HD photo issue.  It's been my experience that customer service is a product of the AR community managers like Bob, Brad (until recently) and (more recently) Kerrie.  I  have received callbacks promptly, even from their raincamp locations.  Email has also worked very well.  I hope you get things ironed out.

Have a Great Weekend!

Steve

Alt 0174. . .who knew?  I never email a corporation or whatever when I have a need to contact them and it really bugs me to click on "Contact Us" and it only has email information.  If they don't have a phone then they aren't in business IMHO.

I too want to speak to a human being instead of emailing to the black hole of technology.
