To Run or Not to Run

By

It's Sunday and I ran with our new gym running group on Thursday. Great run always feels good when your done except this time. I had the worst pain in my leg all day and showing properties with stairs for 3 hours wow did that make it fun. Finally at that last hour and a 3rd time at the same house, I said to my client, I think I am going to skip the upstairs this time. He was great totally understood. But now it's Sunday and I want to go for that run, but I don't want the after math of pain all day. I guess I just need to really do some good stretchs before and after.  I need my running gal pal to push me. You know who are.

Run! Running through the pain is so rewarding.  You will be glad you did.

Susie, the stretching before and after a run, any activity, should help to lesson the after cramps. Great job for getting out there and doing it!

Thanks for the encouragement, I think I am going for it. What's that old saying (No Pain, No Gain)

Hey Suzie, Keep running, you will not regret it. Power walking up hill is as effective (if not more) and less stressful on your joints. Consider a Hear Rate Monitor or Body Bug to measure your results!

Any form of exercise is good in our profession.

Weird how you feel great after a good workout!

Gives you needed energy also.

Good luck & success to you!

Ok, instead of that run, my husband suggested we go for a family bike ride. Great idea. An hour and half of riding the surrounding neighborhood a little up hills here and there, so much better on the leg.  Nice day for a bike ride and a little Nascar. Congrats to Tony Stewart. And thank God Gordon finished in the top ten.

Your running buddy is available tomorrow, too bad you have your up shift!  Let's try again on Thursday 'cause it sure makes us feel better.
