Well, it's always interesting reading all the great bloggers and their posts here on AR. This week was no different.
First and foremost, I want to give a big shout out to Debbie Gartner for her post A bit confused...re: AR/Word Press/Blogger and hosting and Katerina Gasset for Bank Of America Leaves Mortgage Brokers and Buyers In The Dust that were awarded with those highly coveted gold star features and I was happy to "call the shot" on them. These were not only really great posts but they also provided some interesting comment threads. If you haven't already done so, check them out.
There are a couple of other bloggers and their posts that the AR Gods must have missed this week when they were bestowing those little gold stars.
First there was Stephanie Reynolds with The Benefit of a Buyers Agent, where Stephanie explains to buyers the benefits of having their own representation by getting a Buyers Agent. I liked this post so much, I reblogged it. As a mortgage gal, I also try to instill in my clients the importance of getting their own agent and that using the listing agent for their purchase is NOT in their best interest. Check it out; it's good info.
Next was Sherilyn Cervantes who I actually did a double shot on with 2nd Mortgages & Short Sales - Call them what they are BRATS !!! and First Time Home Buyers - They can be alot of fun !!. With the first one, Sherilyn describes a very disturbing trend growing with short sale second lienholders. As an MLO, I too have seen this same scenario with numerous short sale lienholders and they can often wreak havoc on a transaction that has already gone on way too long already.
With the second one, Sherilyn describes what it's like to work with first time buyers. As a mortgage gal who has spent eight years serving the mortgage needs of first time buyers, these folks are my absolute fave clients. I haven't been following Sherilyn for very long but I am really enjoying her blog. Check her out; I think you'll enjoy her blog too.
Lastly, there was Janet Larsen with her Buyer's Agency Agreement! Should you sue your buyer for breach of contract?. I liked this post because as a fan of Buyer Broker Agreements (BBA), I have always wondered what would happen if an agent or a Realtor had to enforce the BBA. It had some interesting comments but I would have liked to have heard about some other experiences from the community. Check it out!
As always, I love "calling the shots". I'm pretty picky and selective about whom I suggest. I intentionally highlight my fave bloggers and then I look for new bloggers or bloggers that aren't on the feature board every other day. Anyone can suggest all the popular bloggers but finding the hidden treasures and gems is so much better. I hope you check them out and enjoy them as much as I did.
