Chinese Drywall Clarification:
On August 25th, the Daily Press published an article on the existence of Chinese drywall at Wyndham Plantation off of Parkway Drive. What the article did not note is that there are two Wyndham Plantations off of Parkway Drive. The community that had the Chinese drywall is on the west side of Parkway Drive. Wyndham Plantation on the east side, commonly known as Wyndham on the Parkway, has never had Chinese drywall. It has one street only, Zelkova Road. The two Wyndhams are in no way related. They were built by different contractors at different times with Wyndam on the Parkway having been completed in January 2005. The Daily Press clarified the difference in the neighborhoods in its Corrections column within a couple of days after the original article appeared.
Any agents, who list and/or sell properties on Wyndham Plantation, East should have no concerns about this product being in that neighborhood. However, those agents who have properties listed on Zelkova Road might want to note this information within the body of their listings under Agent's Remarks.
