Here we are at the first of November and all our little retail stores already have their Christmas decorations out. WHAT happened to Turkey Day? I thought the Christmas holiday began the day after Thanksgiving. Am I that out of touch because I live on a same island?
We (REALTORS) look forward to the holidays because that is the beginning of our season. The 'snowbirds' are beginning to arrive as we speak. The hurricane shutters are coming down and the lines in the grocery store and the restuarants are growing. Now don't get me wrong here. A traffic jam at one of the 5 stop lights will consist of about 12 cars. It is brutal to say the least.
But what it brings us is buyers and sellers. It has been a long dry period for us. We have seen the number of properties on the market double from last year. We now have a little over 500 listings.
We are on the tail end of hurricane season, it is over Nov. 30th, The weather has cooled down some, 80's in the day and low 70's at night. All the windows open and the A/C is OFF for the next 6 months.
Now is the time for referrals to begin coming in. And going out. So, if you know of anyone that would like to buy a small piece of Paradise, please have them give me a call. I pay a very nice referral fee.
The fishing and diving is great. Come see us.
