Bridlewood Flower Mound Construction Update
The other day we spent 15 minutes on 1171 from Kroger to Auburn Drive, the first entrance to Bridlewood, the Carriage Glen section because of construction. If you're like us you are wondering if the road construction will EVER end, or would like up-to-date information for construction in Bridlewood Flower Mound. In speaking with Kenneth Parr 972.874.6401, who is the city liason with TEX DOT Texas Department of Transportation he informed me that the city has asked the contractor to focus on getting the intersections done first to help ease the traffic flow. Next week their focus is going to be on the Glenwick intersection, then Crescent(Glenwick), Auburn Dr(Bridlewood) and then Bridlewood Blvd. According to Kenneth Parr this construction along the Bridlewood, Glenwick area should last about another 3 months. The Town of Flower Mound posts every construction project currently underway and provides the following information. Here is the breakdown of what the city had posted on the Construction along Bridlewood and Glenwick in 3 phases:
Phase 1 of this Texas Department of Transportation project will consist of the widening of the existing two-lane roadway to a six-lane divided thoroughfare from FM 2499 to Shiloh Road along the south side of Bridlewood, Bridlewood Farms and Glenwick.
Phase 2 extends the improvements from Shiloh to US-377
Phase 3 extends the improvements from US-377 to IH-35W
Status:
Phase 1 - currently under construction by Glen Thurman, Inc.
Phases 2 and 3 - currently under design and property acquisition
What to expect in the next month:
Work will continue on sidewalks and landscaping between FM 2499 and Huntwick Lane.(west end of Bridlewood at Bridlewood Farms). Work will begin on traffic lane markings and signage in anticipation of the opening of the eastbound lanes between FM 2499 to Huntwick Lane.(west end of Bridlewood at Bridlewood Farms) to traffic. Work will continue on westbound lanes from Huntwick Lane.(west end of Bridlewood at Bridlewood Farms) to Shiloh Road.
