You have a loaded gun under your kitchen sink!

240,000 kids under the age of five years old get rushed to the hospital each year because of poisoning. .
The sad thing is that adults know the dangers of chemicals to children. . yet, they innocently store them where is the most accessible to a 5 year old. . .

                                                                                 under the kitchen sink. .

Just taking the time to lock these items when children are around sometimes is not enough. . inadvertently leaving the door open or forgetting to lock it could happen to the most adoring grandmother out there. .it only takes seconds for a tragedy.

You have a loaded gun under your kitchen sink!

Just think of that next time you have children around. .

3 sample items that depict the most dangerous and most common items stored under a kitchen sink. .everyday items  that could contribute to a child being  poisoned. .

Hi Fernando, a great reminder for those with children.  I know some people have those plastic things that stop the cabinet doors from opening but they might ought to still store the toxic substances out of reach just in case.

And it is so easy to child proof these areas. Although, I do admit, once they reach a certain age, its almost impossible to keep them out of what they want to get into.

Fernando,

My under-the-sink post actually shows rat poison in use. But when my little family members come to visit, it is nowhere to be found.  Really important post for all - even us without children at home!
