Motivational Power Quote

Excellence is a Habit

"If you are going to achieve excellence

in big things,

you develop the habit in little matters.

Excellence is not an exception,

it is prevailing attitude."

Colin Power, former Secretary of State

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Excellence is a habit

Developing the habit of excellence is not an achieved overnight. It's a goals and something that we continuously strive for and work at until we develop the habit of excellence.

It takes a commitment of our time and in our effort to be the best that you can be and to do the things that you do with excellences.

Excellences starts will the commitment mastering the little details in our life with excellences and in time you build the habit of excellence in all of the things we do.

Excellence becomes the standard that we measure ourselves and our actions by.

Once we form the habit of excellence and apply that habit to all the things we do, excellence becomes routine in every aspect of our life.

Excellence is a habit of our attitude to do our best and not to compromise ourselves or our efforts to achieve nothing less the standard of excellence.

Excellence is a habit of setting high standards and then meeting and or exceeding those standards.

Lou- Great thoughts! Excellence is developed over a period of time and it is so easy to loose focus and settle for average.  I have always worked with my children to understand that the basics, the minor details lead to great results. Thanks for reminding me to strive harder!

I 100% agree!  I used to teach a class to new agents and the very first thing I would tell them is that everythig starts with mindset.  To acheive anything in life, you must first have the right mindset and everything else will follow.  One of my favorite quotes is very simple and the the point, but very strong at the same time: "If you think you can or can't, you're right."  We are all capable of acheiving so much more than we could ever imagine, you must first believe that you can and create the appropriate habits to get there.

Lou, I agree with you and appreciate the stance you have.  I think if we aspire for anything less than excellence, any reasonable gauge or measure of quality could so easily slip down the slipper slope.  To maintain and elevate the quality of our profession we have no choice but aspire for 100%.   Best, Jark.
